Liverpool Agreement With Barcelona

The agreement reflects Liverpool`s aversion to the evolution of Coutinho`s persecution in the six months leading up to the Brazilian`s departure. Edwards` harsh attitude forced the league club to strike a desperate deal, with Coutinho also pushing to take a step. But for the deal to be reached, the Premier League team demanded a transfer agreement from both sides. Barcelona would even be willing to lower their price to around $75 million to relieve Coutinho this summer, with the Premier League being their most likely target. Coutinho moved to Barcelona in January after months of speculation before the deal, and the Catalans made a bad impression. Some of the club`s players have spoken openly about the fact that they want to play with Coutinho before signing, including Ivan Rakitic in an interview with Sky Sports. Barcelona will have to pay Liverpool 5 million euros if Philippe Coutinho wins the Champions League with Bayern Munich this season, according to Spiegel. The report says that the clause of Coutinho`s contract does not specify that he must win the #UCL while he plays for Barca. Imagine ? pic.twitter.com/MlitCoQPW2 One of those three years has passed and it remains to be seen whether Barca will travel for one of the managers of Jurgen Klopp before the alleged contract. After the end of the 2019/20 season, the Spanish side will face even more consequences, as FC Bayern does not use the option to buy the player – with Coutinho, who must therefore return to the Camp Nou. What further complicates matters is that reports of the last nail have appeared in the coffin – the fact that Barcelona will be forced to pay a sum to Coutinho`s former club, Liverpool, if the Brazilian national player wins the Champions League with FC Bayern under a clause in the player`s contract. The logic is obvious.

If, for example, Barcelona wanted to sign Mohamed Salah, the clause would mean they would have to make an offer of $250 million. The contract, which would last until 2021, is obviously only relevant if Liverpool do not want to sell their players. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have been linked with huge moves away from Anfield, but the Reds are not entertaining any offers.
